I have been selected to participate as an actor in the 2010 THE TS ELIOT US/UK EXCHANGE PROGRAMME, a programme to nurture the best young British and American theatre practitioners, hosted by London’s Old Vic, under the artistic direction of Kevin Spacey.
The Old Vic announced that 50 New York artists (actors, writers, directors and producers) will travel to London from May 22 to May 30 to help them develop new skills abroad and expand their creative networks.
Selections were made from over 800 applicants by panels of senior industry practitioners from London and New York, including Steve Winter, Amy Ball, Becky Barber, Daniel Sparrow, Liz Frankel, Will Cantler, Tara Rubin Associates, Daryl Eisenberg, Sam Levy, Ari Edelson and John Gould Rubin.
Throughout the week-long Exchange, artists will participate in a challenging mix of masterclasses, networking opportunities, rehearsals, meetings with senior industry representatives and theatre trips, as well as the opportunity to create new work with their peers.
More info on showcase dates will appear later. For more information, visit http://oldvictheatre.com/ovnv/usuk.php. A detailed press release can be found at BroadwayWorld.com.
